Game Day Thread -- Sens Vs Devils, 7:00pm @ That Swamp

According to Chris Stevenson, Mike Fisher has skipped this morning's skate and he may be a scratch with what is believed to be a lower body injury. In case Fisher is unable to play tonight, the Senators have recalled Ryan Keller from Binghamton for insurance purposes. Consequently, I'm a hell of a lot more confident in my prediction for the Ottawa Citizen's panel. If you're interested in checking out the rest of the panel's predictions, click here. Here's what I had to say...

Senators 2, Devils 3

I hate being a guy who bets against the Senators when they're on a winning streak but all good things must come to an end. Even though Jacques Lemaire's scarf might be the flashiest thing that you see during tonight's game, he has them playing a consistent defensive style that fans have grown accustomed to. It's safe to assume that Brodeur will get the start tonight since he had to relieve Yann Denis after he allowed three goals in a rare start against Dallas. Translation: even though Jersey is one of the lowest scoring teams in the Eastern Conference, I expect Brodeur to steal one for his Devils.

Here are the line combinations that were used at practice this morning:

Michalek-Spezza-Shannon

Foligno-Regin-Alfredsson

Ruutu-Kelly-Neil

Cheechoo-Winchester-Keller

It's not surprising to see that Clouston has finally split up the top line considering their difficulty in putting up some even strength points. I am however a little surprised that it took this long. It'd be interesting to watch Regin line up with Alfredsson but unfortunately, I'll be unable to watch the game tonight. We'll be in the studios recording the inaugural podcast. Boners up!

This "read more" thing is shit. Bloguin is slow to begin with and I wouldn't check 6thSens if it weren't for the fact that I wanted to "read more."

With that said, I'm sick of Ottawa being fucked by the Refs. Okay, they didn't cost Ottawa the game, but I've always been one to try and avoid saying the refs are biased and it's coming to the point where I don't believe that anymore.
